I Think I Should Have Turned Left Instead of Right

I can’t really put into words what this track is all about. I had a few different emotions going on as I began to play, but I can’t pinpoint exactly what they were. That said, the only thing I can really do is paint the picture for you.

The Fork In The Road

Picture a fork in the road. You can go left or you can go right and there isn’t a clear understanding of which one is correct. What do you do? How do you know how to choose? Honestly, the only thing you can do is weigh your options and just start moving forward.

As soon as you choose a direction the mind games begin. As you walk there will be a thousand different reasons to why you picked the wrong path. Everything inside of you will scream to return and try again. Maybe you do, but once you start over the same game repeats itself.

Keep Fighting

So what do you do? How do you keep moving when it feels like all you do is take three steps forward and two steps back? It’s a tiring process and there will be days that just sitting at the folk sounds like the best option, but don’t do it. Keep fighting. Keep swinging. Keep moving forward.

No matter what you are facing today let me encourage you (as I encourage myself) to pick a path and keep moving. Don’t look back. Don’t listen to the voices. One foot in front of the other and eventually you will get to the place you never knew existed.

Here’s to your journey…even when you feel lost.
